Wikipedia:
Otis Rush (born April 29, 1935) is a blues guitarist and singer. His distinctive guitar style features a slow-burning sound and long bent notes. With similar qualities to Magic Sam and Buddy Guy, his sound became known as West Side Chicago blues and was an influence on many musicians, including Michael Bloomfield, Peter Green and Eric Clapton.
Rush is left-handed and, unlike many other left-handed guitarists, plays a left-handed instrument strung upside-down, with the low E string at the bottom. He has played often with the little finger of his pick hand curled under the low E for positioning. It is widely believed that this contributes to his distinctive sound. He has a wide-ranging, powerful tenor voice.

Grove Press Guide to Blues on CD Review by Frank John Hadley:
Recorded and issued only in Europe in 1977, Lost in the Blues (originally known as Troubles, Troubles) consists of nonoriginals that are laden with vocals of almost paralyzing pain, tension, and bereavement (the exceptions are two Jimmy Reed numbers, with Rush's anodyne singing no better than push-button entertainment). For altruistic reasons Alligator potentate Bruce Iglauer has regenerated Rush's original guitar sound in the remix, accentuating the emotional frankness of his phraseology. Furthermore, Rush's trio is augmented on this 1990 CD reissue by the harmless yet also controvertible presence of dubbed-in keyboardist Lucky Peterson.

AllMusic Review by Bill Dahl:
The powers that be at Alligator were subjected to a fair amount of criticism for taking a 1977 album of standards that Otis Rush had cut in Sweden and overdubbing Lucky Peterson's keyboards to make the thing sound fuller and more contemporary. History, after all, should not be messed with. But it's still a reasonably successful enterprise, with Rush imparting his own intense twist to "I Miss You So," "You Don't Have to Go," and "Little Red Rooster."
